About me:

I am a qualified psychotherapist with ICHAS (Irish College of Humanities and applied Sciences) since 2018. I am a member of NAPCP (National Association for Professional Counselling and Psychotherapy). I have also volunteered with Childline.

My own experience has demonstrated to me the immense healing that can take place in one being able to fully express themselves without fear of judgment. It is my role as a psychotherapist to provide an environment of empathy, safety and support, so that emotional and mental growth will occur naturally. My approach to psychotherapy is to facilitate growth through the skill of active and mindful listening and non directive guidance.

Every person's life experience creates helpful and unhelpful patterns and behaviours. Unhelpful patterns can hinder us in our day to day lives such as feeling unworthy, or being self critical. Through increasing awareness we can break these patterns and challenge these unhelpful behaviours. It is because of this belief that I take a Humanistic approach to therapy which means that I place you, the client, at the heart of the therapy journey.

In my opinion each client is the expert in their own lives and I am merely there to facilitate the client in increasing their own awareness and healing.
