Katarzyna Sowinska holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Sopot (Poland) with specialization in Clinical Psychology. She is a graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
Katarzyna has gained experience working with adolescents and adults in various mental health and clinical settings. Katarzyna’s training background is in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Dance Movement Psychotherapy. Her priority is to accompany the client in a collaborative, receptive and active way in making a positive impact on their life and moving towards their goals by offering a non-judgmental space where they can explore parts of themselves and connect to their needs and resources to break out from old patterns and step into the highest potential. She views therapy as a joint creative process and believes that each person has already what is needed to overcome their struggles and that through compassion for all parts of ourselves we step closer to reaching inner freedom and living the life we truly want.
Katarzyna thinks about the therapeutic process through the lens of integrative, holistic approach, combining traditional talk therapy with innovations in body awareness and mind-body integration to facilitate deeper access to the whole Self. She draws from different methods and adapt a personalized approach, specific to each unique individuals’ needs.
