About me:

Saoirse is a trainee therapist in her final year of a BSc (Hons) degree in counselling and psychotherapy in Cork Counselling Services Training Institute. Saoirse is trained in Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapy. Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapy is a holistic form of therapy that takes into consideration the whole aspect of a person’s life encompassing their body, emotions, thoughts, feelings, social and spiritual aspects. The core belief of a Humanistic Integrative therapist is that the client is the expert to their own life. The therapist's role is to facilitate the clients journey in a non-directive way, putting the client at the centre of the therapeutic work and utilising the client-therapist relationship as a tool for growth.

Saoirse aims to provide a safe co-creational space for individuals to explore difficulties they are having in their life - helping them to develop their own resources, explore new ways of coping and expressing. She offers a confidential and non-judgemental space for reflection and exploration. Encouraging personal growth and movement beyond old patterns, hopefully leading to more contentment and satisfaction from life.

Saoirse is a member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (I.A.C.P) and she works in line with the I.A.C.Ps code of ethics.
